Baker Hughes issued their international rig count data, here is the breakdown:
The international rig count for January is 901, is up 1 unit from the count in December and up 60 units from the 841 counted in January 2022.
Africa is unchanged at 92 units from the December count and up 6 units from its year ago average of 86.
The Asia-Pacific region is up 7 units to 204 from the December count of 197 units and is up 7 units from its year-ago average of 197.
Europe is up 2 units to 117 from the December count of 115 and up 6 units from its year ago average of 111.
Latin America is down 3 units to 170 from the December count of 173 and is up 12 units year over year.
The Middle East is down 5 units to 318 from the December count of 323 and up 29 units year-over-year.
